Program: Field trip to Austin Avenue Art Fair (at Magnolia
Silos)
Saturday morning will begin at 10 am at the church with a short business meeting, then we will carpool to the Austin Avenue Art Fair, this year held at the Magnolia Silos. For a
challenge assignment: Find examples of lettering styles we have studied.
Maybe some Roman caps with serifs (hint, look at the photo!)…or graceful Italic…some
bold blackletter or some flowing brush lettering. Notice the lettering on signs
on buildings, pricing signs, printed handouts, etc.
