Decorative Lettering
Member Cindy Boney will present the morning program on developing
your own Decorative Lettering exemplar. She will provide instruction on
creating a "step-out" process of creating decorative letters, which
is fun and easy for beginners as well as those with more advanced skills. She
will provide samples for inspiration as well as an enlarged Times New Roman
font for tracing. Please bring a pencil, micron or Sharpie pens, washi
tape, and a ruler. Optional supplies include a broad-edge nib/parallel
pen so you can use your own lettering style and/or colored markers for adding
details.

Bring everything you will need. No fee, no registration!
This year the guild has enjoyed a lot of excellent
programs/workshops. How about working more on one of those after our March program? It’s an opportunity
for you to continue work on a past program/workshop that really spoke to you. After
Cindy’s program we can gather from 1 to 4 in the Fellowship Hall to continue
our personal creative journey. You can work on what you want, but consider the
previous topics this year: Watercolor for Calligraphy (Sarah Pick), Pointed
Pen Lettering (Jennifer Mauricio), Pencil Lettering (Jeanne Dittmann),
Bookbinding (Virginia Green), Blackletter (Jane Stanfield), Doodle Lettering
(Roxanne Glaser), Versals (Debbie Dutton). It’s a time for you to get out your
tools and supplies of your choice! Bring everything you need. Let’s revisit the
things YOU want to do. And the room is a
delightful place to work!
We could sit in groups by topic based on our individual
interests. Or not. If someone wants to peruse our fabulous library, they can.
Or even redo or start their name tag. Or bring something started at home that
needs some suggestions.
Since there is no “teaching,” there would be no fee for those to
stay. No registration form. Bring a lunch or go out to eat. No deadline to get
back. Let’s make it easy for all! We already have the church reserved that day
so let’s try this opportunity.
