Gettin’ Inky in Inktober
We are
gettin’ inky in Inktober! For the October program, you will be experiencing
hands-on traditional and contemporary letterpress printing. Virginia Green,
owner of BlackHare Studio, will inform members about the art of letterpress
printing. A brief history of letterpress, along with tools and traditional
techniques, will be discussed and presented through a variety of printed
examples and demonstration. You will also learn about the contemporary digital
process to inform you about how your calligraphy can be printed traditionally
on a letterpress. Just bring an apron!
