Folded Pen Revisited

This program is a follow-up to the folded pen program and workshop that Jeanne Dittmann led in October. We will be focusing on lettering and mark-making with folded pens, ensuring that
everyone has additional hands-on time with this tool. She will also demonstrate some of the techniques that are used to embellish the marks. We will not be making folded pens this time, so please bring any that you have (handmade or purchased or both). Jeanne will have extras to lend and will have some handmade ones to sell for $5. She will provide updated instructions for making folded pens as well as information about purchasing others.

Supplies to bring (only if you have them, there will be extras):

• Folded pens
• Ecoline watercolors or walnut ink (while other liquid media can be used, some of the blending techniques that I will demonstrate will not work as well with them)
• Very small black monoline pen (i.e. Micron or a similar brand)
• Small light grey brush pen (again, only if you have it)
• Watercolor paper
