Mackintosh Lettering
Christy Town will be introducing a program on a monoline hand-lettering style, Charles Mackintosh. This style came from the art movement called “Art Nouveau.” Charles Mackintosh had a very stylized handwriting when working on his architecture Illustrations. His handwriting was then adapted into a Typograph by Phill Grimshaw. Christy chose this lettering for its ease of lines and how it can be easily adapted into writing out quotes.
Supplies:
-Pen
-Pencil
-Sharpie (fine point and extra fine point)
-Any Bullet point marker (Crayola marker, Tombow, or Zig)
-Colored pencils
-Grid paper or lined paper
-Small ruler
-Have a favorite word and a short quote. (7-10 words)
