May meeting in person!
9 am - 11 am

Since the April meeting in the park was so successful, we are meeting again in person for May, this time at Nexus Esports , 600 Columbus Avenue in downtown Waco. Though it is a gaming venue, it’s also perfect for us with big tables, lots of room, and a BIG screen for projecting. To accommodate their business, we will meet from 9 to 11 am. After the meeting we can stick around and have lunch at their Save Point Sandwich Shop; check out the great menu at  Save Point Sandwich Shop.

Faux calligraphy becomes very real on tag bookmarks  

Join Amy Taylor on May 8 for a lesson on Faux Calligraphy and the making of Scrappy Tag Bookmarks!  We will start off with some tips and tricks and variations on Faux Calligraphy with a few minutes for practice and experimentation.  Then we will create some layered, colorful, happy tag bookmarks!  Amy will walk you through the steps to construct your masterpiece, then we will use our Faux Calligraphy to embellish our tags with cheerful sentiments.  We can't wait to see you - it's going to be amazing to get to learn and share together!

Materials: DO NOT buy anything! There will be plenty of supplies to share.  If you have these items, please bring:

·        Scissors

·        Single hole punch

·        Glue stick

·        Ribbon/fabric strips for ties

·        MONOLINE lettering tool - Sharpie pen or Sakura Glaze pen are my two favorites!

·        Pencil and eraser if you're not comfortable just going for it on your lettering!

·        Scraps of fun paper - hand painted, scrapbook, or ephemera (old tickets, music paper, book paper)
