For our March program, three members will share secrets and fun ways to create mixed media backgrounds.
Amy Taylor will bring her Ken Oliver Colorburst powdered water-colors. Nancy Cagle will share ideas for using standard pan or tube watercolors. Christy Town will get us into alcohol inks and show how incredible designs and colors can result. We will play with each in a couple different ways and find out how each technique produces different results that can be used as a background for calligraphy or in art journaling.
Supply
list:
whatever watercolors you have; watercolor paper pieces (about 4”x6”) bring
about 6 pieces for Amy’s and Nancy’s station; watercolor brushes (about
1” flat and about a #6 round); water container; small spray/mist bottle
with water; paper towels; gel pens or felt tip markers; plastic gloves (for
Christy’s alcohol inks). We will have extras so don’t go buy anything new; we
will share!
