Karon’s Colored Pencils
Long time WCG member Karon Wheeless will present our July program and workshop. During the morning free guild program, we will look at the various types of colored pencils available today and explore using colored pencils for writing letters, as well as enhancing written letters with ink. Colored pencils may be used in simple ways, such as shadowing, or in more exciting ways, such as providing focal points. It will be a hands-on program.  You will also receive several exemplars that may be used for colored pencils. 

Morning Supply list:

• colored pencils (any kind),
• hand-held pencil sharpener,
• stylus or dried-up ballpoint pen,
• 03 or 05 Micron or other waterproof pen,
• a ruler, a pencil, and an eraser.

 

Afternoon workshop:   $25 fee for members; $40 for non-members;
We will spend instruction time learning to:

• write the “dancin’ mini” letters,
• work with a method of choosing colors,
• explore watercolor pencil techniques, and
• use what you have learned to create a bookmark.

• Supply list: In addition to the morning list, bring watercolor pencils (I will have some available for use), small watercolor brush, and a water container.
